Preparation of Operational Flight Plan specific to Aircraft type, series, engine type, and performance mode, including the following service and considerations.
- Tactical Plan Nav route selection based on optimum operational choice between city pairs – factors: ATC charges vs. Fuel burn, Flight crew duty times, Passenger convenience.
- Pre-Tactical Review At ETD -48 hours. Review of planned route vs. Weather forecast, ATS Route availability, airspace closures, Political and security situation, Fuel availability.
- Operational Flight Plan Prepared and made available at ETD -2 hrs, earlier on request. Computerised plan with Fuel burns, times, nav progess, ATC plan
- Oceanic Track selection (NAT, PACOTS, AUSOTS, NOROTS), ETOPS, ETPs as required.
- Fuel Burn analysis for planned alt, and Level / 2 Levels below planned alt
Route map – showing planned track, waypoints, FIRs, relevant airports.
Profile view chart – showing climb and descent paths, affected FIRs, headwind components. Transmitted to crew via email, fax, or SITA as required. - Crew Brief Weather Brief – Metar, Taf, Winds/Temps, Sig Wx/Prog charts, Icing charts, Turbulence charts. Notam’s for all relevant airports.
- ATC Filing ICAO format ATC plan transmitted to all required ATC authorities.
